Halloween Party Games: Teens and College Age

Getting ready for your Halloween party? Teens are hard to please and by now they are usually bored with the usual games. There are many games which are very popular with the High School and University/College crowd are often buying the games themselves. Based on our experience, here is what we recommend.

Easy Difficulty
Werewolves was nominated for a prestigious German Board Game of the year. The best part about this game is the number of players 8-10. With the New Moon expansion, the number of players increases to 18. No game is the same. It provides participants with intrigue and suspense needed to keep them involved. Your bluffing, negotiating and body language are all important with Werewolves. It is a great exercise in people reading. Not to mention, Werewolves is a small box of cards. There is no board so a table is not required. However, a comfortable setting where everyone can see each other is important. Average Difficulty
In the average category is the Zombies game. It is a tile game where you build your streets tile by tile while being chased to your escape helipad by Zombies. This game depends heavily on dice rolling and less on strategy so you can have loads of fun if you are not the strategy type. There are 6 expansions to this game to make it more interesting. You can even add Glow-in-the-dark Zombies for the extra spooky feeling. Not meant for serious gamers, Zombies is loads off fun lasting between 30-60 minutes.

Advanced Difficulty
A Touch of Evil is a guided role-playing board game, more or less like an adventure game. There are many familiar characters to choose from like, Vampire, Werewolf, Horseman and Scarecrow. If you wish to be a Hero and save the town of Shadowbrook then you may. This plays out like a mystery game of friend and foe. This who do you trust game is not for newcomers. A seasoned gamer would enjoy A Touch of Evil. Definitely a game which improves as you replay and learn the characters. An excellent game to play at Halloween, especially if you dress your part. Best for 2-8 players ages twelve and up. This is a long game which can last between one and two hours.
